Market forces drive many companies to simply react when faced with fierce competition and fast approaching deadlines. Production planning is hurried and finishing is often the last area taken into consideration.  Rodgers Finishing Tools (RFT), Inc., however, helps each client compete without sacrificing adequate production planning.

RFT uses the latest in CAD/CAM technology and other progressive technologies to produce prototype parts used to build prototype masking before the actual mold for the part has been produced.  This allows companies to greatly accelerate the process of prototyping painted parts.  RFT’s rapid prototyping also greatly reduces the overall timeframe that was once required to engineer effective tooling for programs.  The large window once retained for finishing “buy-offs” or approvals has now been greatly reduced. The painted prototypes can now be produced in parallel with molding prototypes.

In addition to rapid prototyping, RFT can also reduce the lead-time required for masking by proactively communicating with you, the Customer.  By utilizing your production specifications, cycle times, and CAD/CAM images of the final approved part design, masking and restpads can be created with the use of CNC machining and laser cutting technologies.  These technologies prepare background cutout sections, which leaves minimal lead-time to complete the masking. As the final mold prototype is produced and production quality parts are produced, masking is made ready and production is not delayed
